Visionary / Board Chair / CEO
A career financier, Steve has been on the forefront of technology enabled capital formation, having earlier founded the first market system for unregistered securities. With a steeped background in corporate and real estate finance, private equity, venture capital and financial technology, Steve identified the opportunity to redress one of the largest capital markets – housing finance – and created the framework to broaden homeownership on a more prudent basis. He is a published author and active speaker on topics of alternative finance, capital markets, shadow banking, housing finance, and social economics.
Chief Operating Officer / Director
Nancy spent the past 30 years in the mortgage finance industry, predominately focused on the pricing and trading of mortgage instruments. After the financial meltdown and while working at Impac Mortgage, Nancy was was instrumental in establishing innovative ways to keep homeowners in their homes during times of distress. It was during that time that she first explored the concept of shared equity. She joined Remarq in the fall of 2015. Nancy graduated from Boston University with a degree in Economics and she hold a MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
Charles (Chuck) Tralka
Chief Financial Officer / Director
Chuck is a former high-technology executive, having served in a variety of engineering and marketing management roles during the last two decades. While in the tech industry, he began actively investing in real estate projects, ultimately spanning acquiring property to the financing of property. In 2011, he co-founded GCA Equity Partners LLC, which has since managed the financing of over $100 million in commercial, residential and mixed-use properties. He was introduced to the REMARQ concept in 2015 and recently became an operating and financial partner on the team. He is a graduate of the University of California at Davis, holding an electrical engineering degree.
Hugh is the CEO of Ujama Inc. and advises and invests in several startup companies. In 2015 he concluded a 22 year career at Intuit where he helped launch several new businesses and ran Intuit’s internal incubator.
Bill is a seasoned entrepreneurial leader and business consultant with a strong background in project management. He co-founded the Stanford Advance Project Management Program and has been the CEO of both established and start-up enterprises in numerous domains including project and change management consulting, construction supplies, green cleaning, the Internet of Things and, currently, the team collaboration space.
Mukesh is a technologist and entrepreneur who co-founded embedded security software company TeamF1 in 1998, and served as its president until the company was acquired by multinational networking equipment vendor D-Link in 2014. He now serves on the board of D-Link (India).
